Too pretty to eat

There's an amazing variety of baked sweet treats all over Bangkok, in street food stalls, open-air markets and emporiums like Central Food Hall, which takes up one of the upper floors of the massive Central World shopping mall. Featured on sale there this week: the sausage doughnut.

And these intricate little cupcakes were served at a St. Andrew's parents meeting last week.

They weren't too adorable for me to eat. They came with little spoons. So civilized!

  1. Much respect to any culture that puts extra effort in their desserts!
